Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim confirmed his statements that he is coaching the worst team in the club's history.
The former Sporting coach caused a stir in the media last week after he criticized his players, noting that they had gone backwards since he took charge.
Amorim reiterated that again ahead of United's Europa League match against Rangers on Thursday, but admitted he was referring to himself in previous comments and not his team.
He said: “I was talking about myself more than my players because it is difficult to find a coach who has lost seven games in the first 10 matches. This is more for me.
“Every time they (the press) talk about players not being good enough, so I understand I gave you that title.
“I get frustrated sometimes and I shouldn't say things in those terms but that's how it is. Sometimes it's really hard to hide the frustration. The good thing is I said the same things in the dressing room five minutes ago.
He added: “The response was natural because I am really honest with my players. They trained well and are ready for this match.

Same players, different coach
Erik Ten Hag left United languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table when he was sent off and Amorim has been unable to knock the Red Devils out of that position.
Despite positive wins over the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal, there were also worrying losses to Wolves and Brighton.
Amorim is aware of the situation and added: “They are the same players who behave worse with a new coach. This is my only concern at the moment. I don't take responsibility for the players but we need to improve the details and I made that clear.
“The way we play makes us very nervous with the ball. It wasn't the best point after that loss, but that's how it is and I'm like that all the time. I'm really direct in dealing with things and I'd say at this moment our performance is really bad and our results are really bad.” .
