See more Americans Fox News Channel To watch President Trump's historic inauguration more than any other network.

From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, Fox News Channel averaged 10.3 million viewers, with 2 million of them in the 25-54 demographic that advertisers want, according to Nielsen Media Research. Additionally, FOX Business had 282,000 total viewers as FOX News Media peaked with nearly 11 million combined viewers.

ABC came in second place in its coverage of Trump's inauguration, with only 4.7 million viewers. NBC came in third place with 4.4 million viewers, followed by CBS with 4.1 million.

CNN, in the aftermath Crushing loss of libel trialIt reached only 1.7 million viewers. As for MSNBC, which has witnessed a steady decline in its liberal viewership since Trump won the election in November, its average number of viewers reached only 848,000 viewers.

Fox News' coverage, led by anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, accounted for a whopping 80% of the news audience share, beating CNN and MSNBC's share.

Fox News maintained its dominance throughout the day and into prime time. The network averaged more than six million viewers, including one million viewers in the key demo, from 8 to 11 p.m. ET.

MSNBC was second, averaging 1.1 million total viewers and 93,000 viewers in the key demo. CNN was third with 1 million total viewers, but edged out MSNBC among key demo viewers, averaging 269,000 viewers.

Fox News Media saw significant growth in its digital properties compared to Trump's first inauguration in 2017 and President Biden's inauguration in 2021. Fox News Digital had its best day in media initiatives and minutes spent since the day after the 2024 presidential election. Total viewing time increased for FOX News Go increased by 83% compared to 2021, a 72% increase in media initiatives and a 35% increase in unique viewing devices.

Fox News Media also performed strongly in social media engagement compared to other news outlets, amassing an impressive 8.8 million interactions across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X, according to Emplifi.

Fox News also took over as the biggest news brand on YouTube, beating out NBC News with a massive 142% increase in video views.

Trump is the second president ever to serve two non-consecutive terms, the first being Grover Cleveland more than 100 years ago. The inauguration ceremony was held on Monday in the rotunda of the Capitol building due to record cold temperatures, the first time since Ronald Reagan was inaugurated for the second time 40 years ago.
