Stargate SG-1 It has maintained a loyal following since the series went off the air, and it's always a pleasure to see the cast reunite for different shows and movies. Such was the case with Amanda Tapping's SyFy series, havenabout “unnatural beings” who were part of human lore, myth and legend but needed protection from the world, when Michael Shanks, its longtime SG-1 co-star, appeared in the second season. The two shared the screen again, making sure to include some nods to their time together, and in the DVD commentary, Tapping happily never stops praising her old friend.
Reunion – Tapping Shanks
“Atonement”, Season 2, Episode 9, is another “Affair of the Week” episode. havenin which Shanks plays Jimmy, a seedy who is forced into a life of smuggling by dangerous criminals. In the season 3 episode, “The Bank Job”, Helena Magnus has to pull off a bank robbery, and in doing so the American accent changes, prompting the teller to comment, “I knew the British accent was fake!” The cashier is played by Gary Jones, known as Stargate SG-1 Norman Harriman, a great reference to how the British eavesdropping company used an American accent to play Carter.
Like almost every other pair Science fiction offers, Stargate SG-1 and haven There were a lot of recognizable faces crossed between both shows, partly as references, but also because both shows were filmed in Vancouver.
