Lady A's Hillary Scott She still felt nothing but gratitude for her husband Chris Terrell.

“We try to have a date night at least once a month,” Scott said before taking the stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville for the Opry Country Christmas on Dec. 5. “We go out twice a month and have a small group with a group of couples, and it's a 40-minute drive from there home. Sometimes it's a 40-minute drive, dinner and back home where we can talk and share and be with each other.
When their wedding anniversary comes around in January 2025, the couple will head to Colorado where they plan to “clear our heads, brainstorm and dream about the future.”
“We get to a season in our lives where it's like, 'Okay, what should we do? What do we want to do for the next 10 to 20 years?' “We are excited to think about and plan for the future,” she said.
While romance is the priority, creating magical memories with their daughters is also at the top of Scott and Tyrell's to-do list.
This holiday season, the whole family came together to star in the music video for Scott and Ezell's holiday song, “Hard to Wait for Christmas.”
“It feels like it's more like our house every day, just the dance party,” Scott joked. we About the video. “One girl is rollerblading through the house and the other is on a motorbike, and that's just how we are. If anyone is wondering what it's like in our house, it was filmed because that's our house every day.”
When mom or dad needs a little break to rest and recharge, there is no judgement. Scott quickly gave Terrell credit for stepping up when she needed to refuel. She is also happy to do the same in return when necessary.
“There have been seasons in our lives, especially since the twins, where we've felt so overwhelmed and (asked): 'How can we do this?'” Scott said. “But I will say that this season that we're in right now is very precious.”
While things are still complicated as their children explore different extracurricular activities, Scott and Terrell are trying to build up their daughters, “encouraging them to be” and “explore what they love.”
“They're so much fun now,” she said. “I'm so grateful to have a partner with mutual respect and open communication and to be able to walk the parenting journey with him because it's a journey.”
