Liberal media accused Elon Musk of giving a “fascist salute” at President Trump's inauguration on Monday.

“This is what victory feels like! This was no ordinary victory, but a crossroads for human civilization… I just want to say thank you for making this happen, thank you. From my heart to yours,” she said excitedly. Musk, 53, told the raucous crowd of MAGA faithful at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The SpaceX CEO reached out to the crowd and placed his hand over his heart as he spoke.

CNN hosts Erin Burnett and Cassie Hunt played the clip of the gesture and appeared to insinuate that Musk had just given the Nazi salute.

“That salute was evocative of things we've seen throughout history,” Hunt said.

PBS News Hour launched a post on X saying the Tesla CEO “gave what appears to be a fascist salute.”

“I never imagined we would see the day when what appears to be a Heil Hitler salute will be presented behind the presidential seal,” Rep. Jerry Nadler said on X.com.

“US billionaire Elon Musk appears to be giving a Heil Hitler salute at Trump’s motorcade in Washington, D.C., on Monday, after Trump’s inauguration,” the Jerusalem Post wrote.

In November 2023, the tech billionaire made a highly publicized trip to Israel where he toured the carnage left by the October 7 Hamas terrorist attacks. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged him to crack down on anti-Semitism on the X during his visit.

However, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) issued a statement defending Musk, saying he made “an embarrassing gesture in a moment of excitement, not a Nazi salute.”

“At this moment, all parties should give each other some grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt and take a breath,” the statement said.
