President Trump He said, “The wave of change is sweeping the country.” He struck an optimistic tone when he told Americans during his inaugural address on Monday that the United States was beginning “a new era of national success,” while declaring that the country's “deterioration is over.”

Trump addressed the nation on Monday after taking the oath of office for the second time and taking the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States.

“In recent years, our nation has suffered greatly. But we will bring it back and make it great again, greater than ever. We will be a nation like no other, full of compassion, courage and exceptionalism.
