Investing.com – Shares in Taiwan rose after the close on Monday, as gains in shares in Taiwan led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the index rose by 0.53%.
The best performers of the day were Champion Microelectronic Corp (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 5.00 points to trade at 55.00 at the close. On the other hand, New Asia Construction and Development Company (TW:) shares rose by 9.91%, or 1.60 points, and closed at 17.75. Chateau International Development Co Ltd (TW:) rose 9.89% or 3.05 points to 33.90 at the end of the session.
As for the weakest performance at the end of today's trading, the shares of Taiwan Textile Company Limited (TW:) closed down by 7.67%, or 1.25 points, and traded at 15.05 levels at the close. Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW:) shares fell by 6.89%, or 17.50 points, and closed at 236.50. Zhong Fu Tex-International Corp (TW:) stock fell 5.56% or 2.00 points to 34.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
New Asia Construction & Development Corp (TW:) shares rise to all-time highs; Up 9.91% or 1.60 to 17.75.
Crude oil futures for March delivery fell 0.08%, or 0.06, to close at $77.33 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, the price of Brent crude for March delivery fell 0.22%, or 0.18, to reach $80.61 per barrel, while gold futures for February rose 0.02%, or 0.46, to close at $2,749.16 per ounce.
USD/THB fell 0.44% to 32.78, while TWD/CNY fell 0.27% to 0.22.
US Dollar Index futures fell 0.21% to 108.97.
