“To be honest, I never really liked or embraced Hollywood, in the sense of where I wanted to live,” she said. “I loved everything she gave me, what she did in my career, what I was able to do there, but I was really always the professional who, between seasons, would sneak (from) to Utah to be with him.” My family has always been the place I knew I wanted to raise my family.”
“Growing up in Utah, city life was never for me,” she added. “But like I said, I know my life wouldn’t be what it is without this time, so I’m very grateful.”

“When I decided to step away from Dancing with the Stars, I didn't have this grand plan of, 'Okay, this is my career. This is where we're going to go.' I knew I wanted to do things that were real to me, but that can be really scary because you don't know how that will be received,” she said of becoming an influencer.
“At the time, I had a social media following of people who only watched and followed me because of 'Dancing with the Stars.' That was scary, because I was like, 'Will they hate me if I say, 'Sorry guys, I'm not going to do this anymore, I'm going to be a mom.' “Maybe people hate moms but it's been so amazing because every step of the way, by really being myself, and sharing what I'm doing, has naturally grown my career, my involvement, and my community in the perfect way.”
While Arnold said she still misses the show, she doesn't regret her decision to leave.
“There are so many things I miss about the show,” she said. “I miss all my friends on the show. The community, the family, it's real. The minute my sister is on the show, they treat her like a little sister because she's family.”
“What I don't miss is the full time commitment. If you want to be good at your job, if you want to do a good job, it's a 24/7 job,” she continued. “And when you're a mom, it's a 24/7 job, so that's a really tough battle.”
“It just felt like a very natural progression for me, which I'm grateful for because, of course, there were always those moments where I chose to step away from the first season of that kind of, like, 'Am I going to regret this?'” she said. “I'm really grateful,” she said. To say I didn't do it. “I have not regretted the decisions I made one step along the way.”
