Taylor Swift reportedly gifted Brittany Mahomes a handmade baby blanket to celebrate the birth of Mahomes' newborn daughter, Golden Ray, according to reports. Page six.

“Taylor's aunt knitted a baby blanket for her when she was a child, so it always had special meaning to her and something she wanted to do for her friends,” a source told the outlet. “It has become a tradition For Taylorsomething you love to do and something you can't buy. It comes from the heart.”

Brittany and her husband, Kansas City Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes, welcomed their new baby boy on January 12. It's their third child, and first since Swift entered their lives when the pop star started dating Chiefs Travis Kelce.

Back in September, when Brittany was in the early stages of her pregnancy, she faced a barrage of online attacks from Swift's fans.

These attacks were in response to the pregnant mother simply liking an Instagram post on Donald Trump's account. Screenshots of Brittany liking a post outlining Trump's 2024 policy platform have been circulating across social media, often through Swift's fan accounts. Many of these fans, who share Swift's political beliefs as a Democrat, flooded Brittany's pages with insults and attacks.

Brittany even had to address the controversy several times in social media posts and in a podcast interview, to defend herself.

In an August 23 post, Brittany wrote: “I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep-seated issues that you refuse to treat from childhood. There's no reason your brain is fully developed and fully developed.” I hate to see others doing well.” In another post dated August 26, she wrote: “Contrary to the tone of the world today… you can disagree with someone, and still love them. You can have different points of view and still be kind. Read that again!”

And in an Aug. 28 episode of the “Whoop” podcast, she said she leaned on her three-time Super Bowl-winning husband to hold her up for recent public scrutiny.

“Having me help him get through it helped me a lot, because he's very good at managing these things and keeping people from going out and doing all that kind of stuff,” she said. “Having him by my side, guiding me and coaching me has helped me a lot. I think it's brought us to where we are now.”

The obvious political differences between Swift and Mahomes became even more apparent when they were seen sitting in separate suites at the Chiefs' home opener against the Ravens on September 5.

Then on September 10, Swift announced her endorsement of Kamala Harris. In an interview with Fox News the next day, Trump declared he liked Brittany “a lot better” than Swift in response, having already admitted to supporting the then-pregnant mother on social media.

But Trump inflamed the political divide between Mahomes and Swift even further when he sent out a post that said: “I hate Taylor Swift!” At the expense of his social truth.

However, Swift has not maintained her difference from Mahomes, even after Trump's aggressive messaging. They were later seen in the same suite during the Chiefs' game against the Saints on October 7, and Brittany showed off a photo of Swift rubbing her pregnant belly. Patrick also said in an October interview on the podcast “The Drive” that he and Brittany often let their three-year-old daughter, Sterling Skye, bake with Swift.

Patrick Randy Mahomes' mother also endorsed Trump days before the election.

The data suggests that Swift's endorsement of Harris did not sway voters in a meaningful way in the last election.

According to AP VoteCast, 44% of women ages 18 to 44 voted for Trump, while 48% of women 45 and older supported the former president, now president-elect.
