SpaceX lost contact with its Starship spacecraft while heading into space during its seventh test flight on Thursday.
According to SpaceX, the spacecraft experienced “rapid, unscheduled disassembly during ascent” after launching from Boca Chica, Texas.
Despite the failure, SpaceX was able to successfully catch the rocket's booster at the launch tower upon its return.
