Who will perform at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration, everything you need to know

President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance He will be officially sworn in on Monday, January 20, and the inaugural committee has assembled a long list of performers to mark the occasion.

Trump, 78, served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021, and will be sworn in immediately after Inauguration Day as the 47th president. But the ceremony is more than just a changing of the guard in Washington, D.C., it is an all-day event, starting on the steps of the US Capitol and continuing into the night with three official opening ceremonies.

In keeping with tradition, this means many musical guests will come to Washington to entertain the crowds.

Underwood will be joined by the Armed Forces Choir and the U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club to sing “America the Beautiful” at the opening ceremony.

“I love our country and I am honored to be asked to sing at the inauguration and be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood, 41, said in a statement. “I am honored to answer this call at a time when we must all come together in a spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

Christopher Macchio

Macchio will perform the national anthem before the ceremony, the classic tune that was announced on Monday, January 13. via X.

“It is with deep humility and gratitude that I accept President Donald Trump’s gracious invitation to perform our National Anthem at the inauguration of our 47th President,” he wrote.

Lee Greenwood

Greenwood will perform at the inauguration and at the “Make America Great Again” rally the night before. Greenwood, 82, who won a Grammy Award in 1984 for his song “IOU,” is a personal friend of Trump and also performed at the Republican National Convention last summer.

The “God Bless the USA” singer is a former member of the National Council on the Arts, nominated by the former President George W. Bush. He served under four presidents before being replaced in 2022.
