However, even some Biden fans who enjoyed his time in the Oval Office acknowledged that history probably won't be so kind to the 46th president.

“I'm so sad for Joe Biden,” Bryan, a Maryland resident, said during his visit to Washington, D.C., last week. “He served his country well for nearly fifty years, but his legacy — perhaps it will be rehabilitated through the history books — but unfortunately, his legacy will be difficult because a lot of his legacy is the withdrawal from Afghanistan.”

“But they made mistakes and people died,” he added.

Fox News Digital also spoke with several Americans who expressed happiness with Biden's legacy. Pope, a Californian who was visiting D.C., described Biden's legacy as “great.” He described Biden as a “great human being, a great humanitarian” and a “great person,” adding that the 46th president “tried to do his best for the country.”

“I think his heart was always in the right place, and I think he's an advocate for the middle class,” Greg, of Houston, said.

“I think overall I was happy with his job,” said Matt from Virginia. He said the president could have handled the border better, but said, “Overall, I was happy with the way he ran the country.”

He added: “I love him as a person, and I wish him good luck.”

Michigan's Chrissy praised Biden, saying: “He accepted Covid seriouslyHe really kept us safe and kind of took control — with facts and mature guidance, and took us to a good place.”

Nathan, another Michigan resident, described Biden's legacy as “equality.” “There is no judgment and no difficulties,” he said, adding that Biden’s term was characterized by “America coming together.”

Madeleine of Houston praised the president for withdrawing from Afghanistan, saying, “Knowing that he got us out of that — even for better or worse, I'm glad he did.”
