Manchester United may explore options to strengthen their attacking line Sporting Lisbon striker Victor Guqueris Among the names to watch.
However, even if Geukeris' asking price falls, there has presumably been no contact with Sporting yet, with options from within the Premier League also possible.
This is according to journalist Ben Jacobs who spoke to him Fourfouras the reporter explained that Geukeris could now be available for 70 million euros, down from 100 million euros.
It is clear that the Red Devils need to strengthen their attack after the poor form of the likes of Rasmus Hoglund and Joshua Zirkzee this season, while Marcus Rashford is likely to leave Old TraffordAccording to Sky Sports And others.
Victor Geukeris has made one monitoring transfer to Manchester United due to the link with Ruben Amorim
Jacobs acknowledges that the Gyokeres connections could make sense because of the Ruben Amorim connection, though he also stresses that there have been no official connections yet.
However, the Sweden international has been in sensational form and would certainly make sense as an upgrade on what United currently have, as would other names such as Victor Osimhen.
“Manchester United may still be looking for another striker and, of course, in the summer, people will naturally associate him with Victor Gyukiris because of Ruben Amorim’s links,” Jacobs said.
“At the moment, it's a bit premature. There has been no contact with Sporting yet, but what we can say is that the price for Gyukiris has dropped from his release clause of €100 million to closer to €70 million.
“So he is fairly affordable and certainly has lower wages and agent fees compared to another historic Manchester United target in Victor Osimhen, but they may be looking for something more economical or perhaps within the Premier League.”
MUFC have been under-scoring this season, but they also have several other areas of weakness in this team, so it remains to be seen whether they will focus on a striker now or view their defense and midfield as a bigger priority.
