Manchester United part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to make another controversial decision that is likely to leave more fans feeling alienated, with Marcus Rashford likely to be one of three players to leave in the current window.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe could authorize three big sales for January

On the basis that all three appear to have compelling enough reasons to want to leave Old Trafford, selling them would seem to make perfect sense.

However, all three were brought up through Manchester United's academy, and while Jarnacho initially spent time in the youth groups of Getafe and Atletico Madrid, he could also be classed as having been brought up at home.

Manchester United could really be forced to make two unimaginable sales!

To that end, it would be a PR disaster for the club if Ratcliffe decided to approve the deals and therefore not have to worry about the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules come the summer.

The winter window could be a disaster for Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Not to mention, it would severely weaken Ruben Amorim's side at this stage of the season.

Ratcliffe is already in a very fragile position with fans after a number of recent poor decisions, and it is within his power to cancel Amorim if he believes any or all of the three players can offer a brighter future for United.

While it is okay to make tough decisions in the name of progress, this is sure to be the straw that breaks the camel's back as far as supporters are concerned.
