David Schwimmer He had an embarrassing encounter with a legendary celebrity while working as a teenager.

During a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 58-year-old actor said he “had a lot of banana jobs” when he was younger, one of which led to a meeting with musician Rod Stewart.

“One summer after my freshman year in college, I was just looking for a job, and my mom said, 'Well, you can be a process server for me,'” he recalls. “My mother was a divorce lawyer, and I was the guy who would come out of the bush and serve you divorce papers.”

The actor remembers feeling like James Bond, receiving information about where a person might be and going and finding them.

“One time, man, thank God, I've never met him since, but I served Rod Stewart“I don't even know if he knows or not. I don't think he knows,” the “Friends” star said with a laugh.

Colbert then joked that he “knows now” and if the two run into each other later down the road, he now “knows to punch you.”

While it is unclear who he was divorcing, Stewart was married to Alana Stewart from 1979 to 1984 and then to Rachel Hunter from 1990 to 2006. He is currently married to Penny Lancaster, whom he married in 2007.

Schwimmer was on the late-night talk show to promote his latest project, “Goosebumps: The Vanishing,” the second season of the Disney+ anthology series, “Goosebumps,” based on the popular children’s horror novel series, written by R.L. Stine.

In this latest part, Schwimmer plays a divorced father of two, who takes time off from his career as a botanist to care for his mother, who suffers from dementia. In the process, he finds himself caring for his twin, and continuing his research in a home-made laboratory.

“I've always been a fan of horror, especially horror Horror-action-comedy. “This is kind of very exciting to me. I'm a real fan, and I've never been asked to do this,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in January.

“One time, man, thank God I haven't met him since, but I served Rod Stewart. I don't even know if he knows or not. I don't think he knows.”

The project marks not only Schwimmer's first time appearing in a horror show, but also a new chapter for the actor.

Schwimmer is best known for playing a father of two His tenure on “Friends” But this show gives the actor a chance to explore what it means to be a father to teenagers on screen.

“I didn't get to play a teenage father, and now I'm in real life. So that part of me was really excited, too,” he told the outlet. “It's another level of meaning at this point.”
