Caitlyn Jenner, a longtime California resident and Fox News contributor, predicts there will be a “change” in thinking across the state after the way leadership has handled the wildfires that are still affecting parts of Los Angeles County.

Everything you need to know about water drops in California during wildfires

Jenner, who said she has lived in California since 1973, recalled the first time she saw the “Welcome to California, Golden State” sign on Interstate 82.

“Boy, have I seen this decline over the years. We're not gold, we're not silver, we're not bronze. We're not finalists anymore,” Jenner said on The Story. The decline of the state is due to the politicians who run it.

The former Republican nominee for the 2021 impeachment election argued that the emerging details of how officials failed Preparing for wildfires They will shine a “bright light” on California’s “vulnerabilities.”

“Light is good because it's disinfectant. I mean we have a lot of problems here, most of them with politicians,” Jenner said, likening politicians' reactions to problems like playing whack-a-mole.

“You know that game when you play, when you have a mole and the board is in front of you and the head pops up, and you get a mallet and you hit it? And then another one comes up here,” she described.

“That's what they do. As soon as a problem arises, they try to do what they can to fix it. Instead of attacking a year before the fires,” Jenner explained of her analogy.

Jenner criticized Gov. Gavin Newsom responded to bushfires, highlighting how her property has been affected by numerous fires over the years and that they happen “all the time”.

“These are devastating things. And they're not on the attack,” Jenner said, acknowledging the high winds that contributed to the level of destruction caused by the fire.

Aside from the unusually stormy conditions, California has been dealing with a water infrastructure problem, which Jenner highlighted.

“Certainly in the 1960s, the California Aqueduct was built. The greatest project in history (for) water in California. Since then, we've been run by liberal Democrats and getting less and less. And that's just, it's a shame that there's so much “Of things you can do, and they're putting their priorities in the wrong place.”

California suffers from Old water reserves system Which was unable to store all the water from last year's record rains. Without reservoirs to provide adequate storage, much rainwater had to be dumped into the ocean.

Jenner explained how she believes California has and will continue to swing more Republican following the mismanagement of the Los Angeles wildfires and President-elect Donald Trump's election victory.

“What he (Trump) did to this state, if you look at the last few elections, the amount of blue that was in our state, it was half the state. Now it's about a third,” Jenner said, detailing how mostly blue our state was. California's Blue Zones are located in the major metropolitan areas of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego.

“I hope Californians can really change their thinking. And I think what happens (with) this fire will change their thinking. Things like this have to happen,” Jenner said, explaining how Democratic-controlled California as a whole has become.

“They control the money. They control the votes. They control the unions. And to me, the whole state is a big scam,” she said.
