Cristiano Ronaldo is set to renew his contract with Al-Nassr Saudi Club.

The football icon will continue to play for the Riyadh-based team until June 2026, adding another year to his current contract.

By then, Ronaldo will have celebrated his 41st birthday, making this one of the longest contracts signed by a footballer of his age.

His extension is another testament to his longevity but also proves that he is still at a level where he can compete as one of the best players in the league.

Ronaldo was already earning a fortune after moving to Saudi Arabia in 2023, but how much will he earn after signing his new contract, and who could he buy out with his earnings?

Read on to discover all the details.

Crushing numbers

Ronaldo's new contract strengthens his position as the highest-paid athlete in the world.

The agreement reportedly includes an annual salary exceeding €200 million, along with an additional €60 million in image rights.

Crunching the numbers reveals that the Portuguese icon will earn more than €500,000 per day and around €400 per minute!

Below is a full breakdown of what Ronaldo will gain from the extension:

  • Every year: 200 million euros
  • per month: About 16.7 million euros
  • per week: 3.8 million euros
  • For every day: More than 547,000 euros
  • Every hour: About 22,800 euros
  • per minute: About 380 euros

With this renewal, Ronaldo remains not only the highest-paid player in Saudi Arabia, but also in the world.

He outperforms rivals such as Lionel Messi, who is said to earn nearly €130 million a year at Inter Miami, and Kylian Mbappe, whose earnings at Real Madrid are around €83 million a year.

What can Ronaldo buy with his winnings?

The total value of Ronaldo's contract, exceeding €600 million over three years, puts his purchasing power into perspective:

Ronaldo could buy 60 Bugatti Centodieci supercars, priced at €10 million each. He can also buy 15 Gulfstream G650 private jets, worth 40 million euros each. Ronaldo can own several high-end properties in locations such as Beverly Hills, Dubai and the French Riviera – and realistically he can buy any property he wants anywhere in the world.

If he wanted to, the Victory star could buy any number of yachts or even a private island or two, and it would be unlikely to affect his fortune.

While the former Real Madrid striker has spoken out about the level and quality of football in the English Premier League, he will secretly be happy with the financial gains he has made in the Middle East.

Continued success in victory

Since arriving at Al Nassr, Ronaldo has proven his value as a goalscoring machine.

In 84 appearances for the club, he scored 75 goals and provided 18 assists, an impressive return as he approaches his 40th birthday.

His efforts helped Al-Nasr secure the 2023 Arab Club Championship, the only title the club has won during his tenure so far.

While his individual brilliance was clear, Al Nasr has yet to translate Ronaldo's contributions into greater domestic or continental success.

However, his presence has raised the club's profile on the world stage, attracting more attention to the Saudi Professional League and inspiring a new generation of football fans in the region.

With his contract extended until 2026, Ronaldo's immediate focus is likely to be on leading Al Nassr to more titles.

The deal is also consistent with his aspirations to remain competitive ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
