President-elect Donald Trump He said on Tuesday that he would create a “Foreign Revenue Service” to collect “Definitionsduties and all revenues from foreign sources.”

“For too long, we have relied on taxing our great people using the Internal Revenue Service (IRS),” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

“It's time to change that. Today I'm announcing that I will create the Foreign Revenue Service to collect customs duties, fees, and all revenues that come from foreign sources,” he wrote.

“We will start charging fees to those who make our money through trade, and they will finally start paying their fair share.”

Trump wrote that next Monday, “January 20, 2025, will be the birth date of the Foreign Revenue Service.”

Trump will be sworn in for his second non-consecutive term in the White House that day.
