Actress and resident of Los Angeles Christina Applegate Angry that some people are enjoying the devastation caused by the California fires to celebrities who live in the area.

In her new episode “MeSsy” podcast. Along with fellow actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Applegate condemned anyone who suggests it's “okay” for Hollywood to suffer.

“There are really no words to describe it,” Sigler said of the devastation in the city.

“You know what I have words for? Um, f— people who say it's, you know, good. It's Hollywood and these stupid people in Hollywood,” Applegate responded. “Like, you've got to be kidding me.”

“I think people who don't live here feel like celebrities are just walking around and running everything,” she continued. “We're like a part – we're a little part of the city. I mean, This is a city “From people who work at fast food chains or, you know, construction workers and painters, there are (a) countless groups of people here.”

Sigler implored her friend to “ignore” this kind of rhetoric, to which Applegate replied that although she did, she thought it was “ridiculous.”

“You know what everyone in L.A. has in common? They're dreamers,” Sigler asserted.

“They're all there to dream big and work from top to bottom, working to shut down their businesses. Absolutely. Is there a group of people who have been affected who will have the ability to rebuild their lives? Life – I wouldn't say that easily, but soon? Yes, and are there thousands? From other people who have no idea where to start, yes, and we have to carry them in our hearts.

Last week, a large number of Hollywood stars lost their homes in different parts of the city. Stars including Miles TellerBilly Crystal, Paris Hilton, Milo Ventimiglia, Ricki Lake, Anna Faris, Spencer and Heidi Pratt have lost possessions due to the Palisades fire, which was only 17% contained as of Tuesday morning.

Other active fires in the city include the Hearst Fire, which is currently 97% contained, and the Eaton Fire, near Pasadena, which is 35% contained. As of Monday, a new fire, the Auto Fire, has broken out in Ventura County. It is currently 0% contained.
