WWE star CM Punk “Monday Night Raw” began addressing the crowd in San Jose, California.

Before he began talking about his aspirations to reach WrestleMania 41 and deliver another blow to Seth Rollins, Punk gave a special shout-out to first responders and emergency personnel battling fires in the Los Angeles area.

“Really quick, before we get to CM Punk's work, I want to say something quick. Thank you to all the firefighters and first responders in the great state of California and everyone in the surrounding states who sent everyone to help fight this natural disaster, this fire,” Punk said. “I'm talking about Canada and Mexico. People, we hear you and we appreciate you.”

The crowd at SAP Center cheered as Punk announced himself as one of the participants in the upcoming Royal Rumble match, which will take place on February 1st.

The Los Angeles wildfires started Tuesday afternoon as winds raged through the area. Some fires ignited and spread quickly throughout the area.

More than twenty people were killed in the destruction.

Officials warned earlier On Monday, the threat to the region is not over yet.

“We are not safe,” Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Christine Crowley said. “I want to make sure of that. We are not safe yet, and we must not let our guard down.”

“Due to the increased wind phenomena as we speak, the City of Los Angeles Fire Department has enhanced our resource and response capabilities,” Crowley added. “All available LAFD resources have been prepared. Engine teams and task forces have been strategically positioned in advance and are dedicated to quickly responding to any new fire that breaks out in the city.”
