Tyson Fury announced his retirement today on Instagram, letting his followers know that he has ended his 16-year professional career. It was an expectedly melodramatic move by the Gypsy King after his second loss to Oleksandr Usyk on December 21. I expected this childish move. Man, I can read this guy like a book.
Fury has made a pile of money with his massive bankroll Wealth: $160 million. So, if he's serious and isn't doing it to lure Turki Al Sheikh into paying him over $100 million for his next fight, then he's done well for his career.
Good salvation
With limited talent, Fury used his victory over 39-year-old Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 and turned that victory into amassing a massive fortune. What a great hustle.
I wonder why Fury didn't start complaining during his retirement. That would have been a classic. I still can't forget how he was on the verge of tears during his interview after being booed after making a controversial decision against “The Big One” John McDermott in their first fight.
If this was a real retirement and not a fake retirement, I'd say good riddance and don't let the door hit you on your way out, Fury. It would be nice to get rid of some of the weak fighters who were given a prominent position by the gullible rabble who followed him.
Usyk proved that Fury is a scam
Looks like Fagan from Oliver TwistFury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) looked absolutely terrible in his most recent loss to Usyk. He was unable to do anything in that battle and had to retreat. All the instructions given to him by his well-meaning trainer, SugarHill Steward, were completely ignored as he was unable to follow any of them. Fury has never been one to follow instructions or adapt during fights. It's not much to listen to.
“I would like to announce my retirement from boxing. It was a blast. I loved every minute of it… See you on the other side,” Tyson Fury said. Instagram In announcing his retirement today.
