Ryan Garcia says he will fight Teofimo Lopez when he returns to the ring this year after his suspension ends. This is in line with what Garcia's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, says.

Oscar said there was no point in Ryan fighting Devin Haney again because he had already “destroyed” him. He says the fight he wants for Garcia is WBO light welterweight champion Teofimo (21-1, 13 KOs), who does not have an opponent after opting not to defend against Subriel Matias.
Teofimo's career has been on hold since his loss to George Kambosos Jr. in 2021. Despite capturing the WBO 140-pound title from Josh Taylor in 2023, he has looked bad in fights against Steve Clagett, Jamaine Ortiz and Sandor Martin. .
Top Rank clearly guessed wrong with Teofimo and should have gotten rid of him after losing to Kambosos instead of giving him an extension. There has been no improvement since that loss.
Garcia stated that he would “let go” of Haney, but would need to drop his lawsuit. Hani has not said whether he will do so, but his recent comments indicate that he will not. Unfortunately, this leaves him in a difficult situation, but he still has Turki Al-Sheikh. He still believes in him and will help him this year.

Boxing fans will be very interested in a Garcia vs. Teofimo fight because the two have never fought before. The WBO 140-pound belt will be on the line, and Teofimo could do his part to help promote the fight. In Devin's case, he relies on his father, Bill, to do a lot of the work to generate interest. This doesn't work either.

It doesn't appear that Haney and Bell plan to drop the lawsuit. They appear chiseled and would likely fight to the bitter end in their suit, though doing so would be like shooting themselves in the foot.
