None of Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants are quite similar, but her latest venture, Pinky's by Vanderpump, is in a class of its own.
“We always wanted to make this place feel like when you walk in you think it's been here forever,” the Bravo star, 64, said. He said exclusively Us Weekly On Friday, December 6th Pinky's grand opening. “Like, look at the floor. You would believe this floor – I mean, this is a handmade floor, but you would believe this floor was laid 90 years ago.”
Located inside the Flamingo on the Las Vegas Strip, Pinky's has an old-school feel reminiscent of the days when the Rat Pack were a fixture in Sin City. The menu includes an entire section dedicated to variations on the martini, and the decor features emerald green chandeliers that look like they would be in a high-end home.
“We were always going toward that old, authentic Art Deco style that a flamingo should have,” Vanderpump explained. “And I think it's been missing for a long time basically.”
While Pinky's name — especially in light of its presence inside the Flamingo — may conjure up images of Malibu Barbie cruising around in a pink convertible, Vanderpump noted that no toys came to mind when she and her longtime partner Nick Alan I designed the space.
“Even though her name is Pinky's, we weren't going to do a Barbie-type (thing).” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills The young man said we. “That's not our style at all. Pinky's was a nod to the gangster (vibe), you know, 'Come to Pinky's, see you at Pinky's,' that kind of thing. It's about aesthetics and color palettes.”
This palette includes a fair amount of pink, but not the neon color traditionally associated with Las Vegas or the resort's namesake bird. The large flamingo sculptures just inside the entrance are a subtle shade of red, while the bird-shaped lamps on the bar have a bronze base with a light pink shade. These light bulbs, custom-made by Alan, were a particular favorite of attendees at Pinky's grand opening, and Vanderpump herself can see why.
“I actually said to Nick, 'We made a mistake with them,'” Vanderpump joked. “I think we should have made three because I want one in my house. I love them so much.”
Pinky's debut comes just months after Vanderpump opened her restaurant Wolf in Lake Tahoe, bringing her total number of restaurants in Nevada to four (she also has a Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace and a Vanderpump à Paris at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino). These restaurants are all in addition to her Los Angeles establishments, SUR and TomTom, which she co-owns with the latter Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval.
According to Vanderpump, her empire is “going to get a lot bigger” — and she teased that another big announcement is coming in 2025.
“There is no end goal,” she said. we. “I'll just keep going.”
Pinky's by Vanderpump is now open at Flamingo Las Vegas.
