SHANGHAI (Reuters) – People's Bank of China Governor Pan Gongsheng met with his Bank of England counterpart Andrew Bailey on Saturday in Beijing and discussed topics including financial stability and cooperation, China's central bank said on Sunday.
Ban met with senior executives from HSBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank (OTC:) and Bank London Stock Exchange (LON:) on Friday, the People's Bank of China said.
The meetings were held during British Finance Minister Rachel Reeves' two-day visit to China, as she seeks to revive high-level economic and financial talks that have been frozen for nearly six years.
