In a disappointing development for Indian cricket fans ahead of the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, Akash Deb has suffered an injury. The pacer has injured his back and will not be available for selection for the SCG Test match.
Akash Deep was one of the four bowlers selected by India in their playing XI for the Boxing Day Test. Although Depp couldn't make the same impact as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, he played the supporting role to perfection.
Deb came into the playing XI for the Brisbane Test, replacing Harshit Rana. He took five wickets in two matches, with his best figures being 2/28. Now in this list, we will take a look at the three reasons why Deep's exclusion from the 5th Test of the BGT 2024-25 will be a huge blow for Team India.

Although Depp picked up just five wickets in the two Test matches he played against Australia in BGT 2024-25, the bowler has been extremely unlucky. He could have easily taken five more wickets had some close deliveries taken the edge of the bat or dropped the stumps.
