Less than three weeks ago, New York Giants He had control of the NFL Draft board and initially held on to the No. 1 pick. Then they scored 45 points, their most in more than 10 years, and won.

The Giants are now in line to select Third in the draftMany experts say that two midfielders, at most, deserve to be selected early.

The two teams ahead of the Giants — the Titans and the Browns — are likely in the quarterback market.

It was the Giants' worst season in a generation. Their .176 winning percentage combined with their 3-14 record was the fourth lowest in franchise history. However, owner John Mara made the unpopular decision to retain head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen.

However, Daboll's firing meant the Giants, excluding the interims, would have their fifth coach in 10 seasons. This is not an ideal process, especially considering that Tom Coughlin has been running the station for 12 people.

And while Giants fans may not like the decision, Victor Cruz Understands that.

“I think at some point, you have to provide some continuity, right? You can't keep firing every coach. You have to give some players a little space to see if they are those guys,” Cruz said. Fox News Digital in a recent interview.

Cruz said players, especially veterans, “love” Daboll, which led to Mara's decision. But they need to compete next year if Daboll and Schoen want to survive.

“I'm not saying we have to win 13 games, 12 games, but we have to at least be competitive next year so the fans will have a better taste,” Cruz said. He even admitted that the tandem could survive if the Giants “suck it up” again.

“I think it depends on how bad we are, right? How bad are we? Are we 3-14 again, or are we 9-8? 8-9? Are we in that middle class? Maybe we're 9-8?” A few pieces away?” He said.

“Now, if we're a three-win team next year, you've got to blow it, because obviously it's not working out. But if we're that mid-level — 9-8, 8-9, in contention — maybe it's a game “Wild” – card spot and we’re there, and then I have a different taste and then I say, “Okay, I’m sticking with them.”

The G-Men aren't likely to smell the Super Bowl for a while, so maybe the players will throw some parties at the big game this year. Cruz himself, is partnering with dishwasher detergent company Finish Ultimate before traveling to New Orleans next month. The brand is offering a $10,000 prize so fans can host the Super Bowl party of their dreams.

“When I transition into retirement and I'm refrigerating things and spreading them out on the crib, it helps me get tough stains out. It helps when I'm doing food prep, where there's different food, and we get those tough stains on those dishes,” Cruz said.

“Finish Ultimate is the perfect solution for removing tough stains, and I would never use any other brand than Finish Ultimate.”

The Giants' focus is on the draft, and even if the Giants and Browns let Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders fall to the Giants, Cruz will say thanks, but no thanks and aim for a household name.

“I think we have to get one of those veteran guys in free agency, build our roster another year, be competitive the next year and then go all out.” Arc Manning “The next year after that,” Cruz said. “Now, we've put together a team through the draft and free agency. We have a year of the draft to put players in contention, to build our roster the right way, and build depth at all of those positions. … Then we go get a quarterback in free agency and see what happens.”

So who would Cruz want in third place?

“I love Travis Hunter. Would you put him with Malik Nabras and give him some play in defence? Come here. It's hard to pass that on. This is the game changer I'm talking about. This is the guy you can't plan for. Imagine a team had to come up with a game plan for a guy on defense, and then say, “Oh, by the way, he's going to play 30 snaps on offense.” He's a guy who can do some good things for us.

“He's a great character. He's a great kid. He's going to have a lot of fun out there, and him and Malik Nabers together, seeing their energy and envisioning that together not only on the field, but also in marketing off the field, these guys are going to be crushed in New York City.”

“And I think together they can also help each other, feed off each other, help each other grow simultaneously so they can be together and face all the ups and downs that are going to come. They can also be the glue that keeps this team together and keeps everyone positive.” “
