The seemingly friendly interactions between Trump and Obama went viral after the two sat next to each other during the state funeral.

At one point, Vice President Kamala Harris turned around and saw the two chatting amiably, before turning back, her face stony.

“I don't know if the funeral music was for Carter or for her,” she said. “Kamala looked at the way I looked when someone behind me was talking in the movie theater.”

“She was not happy sitting so close to Donald Trump,” the comedian said. “She spent the rest of the day leafing through the funeral program as if she would find 44 electoral votes in it.”

Trump and Obama were surrounded by other prominent figures, including former President George W. Bush, former Vice President Mike Pence, and former President Bill Clintonand former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, as well as Presidents Biden and Harris.

Obama has campaigned extensively against Trump, calling him a threat to American democracy and recognizing “our worst unleashed impulses,” among other attacks.
