WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora will face Errol Spence, tentatively scheduled for March 29 in Las Vegas. The battle is still being negotiated.

Former unified welterweight champion Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will be inactive for 20 months when his fight with “The Towering Inferno” Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) occurs.

Errol turns 35 on March 3rd. The fight is expected to be shown on PBC on Prime Video PPV. There's no word yet on the price of the pay-per-view, but it will likely be close to the $80 range.

@FerSabatiniBox and @DanRafael1 broke the news about the Fundora vs. Spence fight on March 29.

Errol's recent setbacks

Spence is coming off a 9th round knockout loss to Terrence “Bud” Crawford on July 29, 2023. Errol took a lot of punishment in that fight and was not able to compete at all. Physically, he didn't look like the fighter he was in 2018 and earlier in his career. Some believe the combination of injuries Spence suffered in his 2019 car accident, sparring, inactivity, weight gain, and age have taken a lot out of him.

Fundora, 6’5″, is coming off an extended layoff himself, having last fought on April 30, 2024, defeating WBO 154-pound champion Tim Tszyu by a 12-round split decision. This was a grueling fight for both, leaving Tszyu a bloody mess due to a head collision earlier in the fight.
