Jessica Kamara went head-to-head with Caroline Dubois after weighing in for their WBC lightweight title fight.
The Canadian challenger bored forward before Dubois violently stopped her with Kamara: “Don't disrespect me!” After the two were separated.
Dubois will make her first defense of her WBC Championship on Saturday live Sky Sports.
“This is not the end for me,” the champion warned. “This is just the beginning.”
“It's a pebble in my shoe now and I need to get it out of the way.”
But Kamara responded: “She won't do (anything).”
“I have what it takes to do it and that's what I'm going to do.
She added: “She believes in herself. I believe in myself.” “I felt a little disrespected today so I showed her what it was.”
Although Dubois took all of this as a sign of weakness. “I'll be honest, I see fear. I see a lot of fear, I see a lot of stress,” she said afterward.
Both fighters weighed in for their world championship showdown at Canon Medical Arena in Sheffield, with Kamara 9st 8lbs and Dubois 9st 8lbs 5oz. The battle continues with an added advantage of ferocity.
Callum Simpson and Steed Woodall also made weight for their British and Commonwealth super-middleweight title bout, the former 11 pounds and the latter at exactly 12 pounds.
“I'm prepared to fight a 15-round war if necessary,” Woodall warned the champion. “I'm in exceptional shape, ready to go.
“Records are for DJs, and that means nothing to me,” he continued. “All that matters is me and Callum in the ring.”
Simpson's supporters are hugely popular in his hometown of Barnsley, and they made their voices heard at Cutlers Hall.
“It's not just my journey, it's our journey, they've supported me from day one,” Simpson smiled. “It's a dream come true.
He continued: “It doesn't matter about the competitor or the champion, my mentality is always the same, to become the best I can be.”
“I think the best Callum Simpson beats the best Steed Woodall.
“I worked hard to get these (titles), and I will work hard to keep them… They will stay at Yorkshire.”
Another exciting contest on the bill pits undefeated cruiserweight Scott Forrest against ambitious Londoner Devorn Miller.
Weighing in at 14 pounds, exactly the same as Miller's weight, Forrest subjected his opponent to an intense stare down.
“We'll see tomorrow,” Miller said with a smile afterward, anticipating a stoppage-time win. End of conversation.
“The cruiserweight division has come up so there's a lot to like.”
Forrest, a slugger in imposing form, maintained the same intensity, saying: “He can say what he wants, but don't blink because he's splashing.”
Scot Sam Hickey will open the televised bill, in a tough second professional fight against Lewis Howells.
Ready to make his mark in professional sports, former amateur star Hickey said: “He's a different kind of energy. This guy is coming for me. I just need to stop him and put a stop to what he can do.”
