The wait is finally over! The third season of SA20 2025 is scheduled to begin on January 9, with defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape taking on MI Cape Town at St George's Park in Gqeberha. Get ready for a month of non-stop cricket featuring some of the biggest T20 stars around.
SA20 2025 format
Men love Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Liam Livingstoneand Moeen Ali Ready to light up the tournament. SA20 2025 features six teams that will compete in 30 league matches, with each team facing the other twice. Next, it's time for the playoffs!
Just like the Indian Premier League, SA20 2025 will feature Qualifiers 1, Qualifiers and Qualifiers 2 before the grand final on February 8 at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
The Sunrisers Eastern Cape have already secured two titles and are eyeing a third this season. Their first challenge? MI Cape Town in the opening match. But it won't be a walk in the park. Other teams are launched to stop them.
MI Cape Town, led by Rashid Khan, have not had the best time so far, finishing last in the season. But they are back with a new approach and will want to prove a point. However, they will be without England international Ben Stokes, who is out with a hamstring injury.
SA20 2025 places
The matches will be spread across six venues – Durban, Paarl, Gkirbha, Johannesburg, Centurion and Cape Town. Each team will play at all of these stadiums, meaning fans across South Africa will get the chance to watch the match live.
The final match is scheduled to be held on February 8 at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. It is the perfect place to conclude what promises to be an exciting tournament.
