BBC correspondent Barbara Plett Asher said she heard gunfire and explosions, but the situation was “relatively calm” in Damascus, after the rebels took control of the Syrian capital.
She added that President Al-Assad left by plane to an unknown location, and everyone is waiting to see what will happen next.
