Westerns were once the most dominant genre in Hollywood, peaking in the 1950s and 1960s, before slowly losing popularity. Although there have been a few standouts in the past few decades, there have been a few standouts, and most importantly… All in all, one man worked tirelessly to bring the genre back to the forefront. The problem is that the first film flopped so badly that the release of the sequel was postponed indefinitely, but there is still hope. Horizon It's now a huge hit on Netflix.
Great start
Horizon: An American Epic – Chapter One It premiered on Netflix in early January, and since then, it has been part of the streaming's top 10 shows. The first part of the epic saga features a large cast of characters, some of whom we don't see until the film's final teaser. Chapter 2, Through multiple stories that have not yet intersected. Chapter 1 It's not a complete film, as none of the stories reach anything resembling a conclusion, but it is a bold experiment in bringing the structure of television to films.
The film begins with an Apache raid on the new Horizon settlement, which serves as the catalyst for the first two stories, which follow some survivors taking shelter in a military camp and others out for revenge. Meanwhile, in the less developed story, there is a wagon train on its way to Horizon when it comes to Apache interest, and the threat of an imminent attack looms over the settlers. Another story follows a young woman on the run from her attackers, while Costner, as the mysterious Hayes Ellison, finds himself entangled in her wake while falling in love with Marigold, the woman of the night.
Each story shows potential, and some characters, including Elaine played by Jena Malone and one of her pursuers, Caleb Sykes, played by Jamie Campbell Bower (known as… Strange things Vecna), stands out from the pack. There are some standout moments, including a tense, elaborate shootout that proves Costner knows what he's doing behind the camera, but mostly, Horizon: An American Epic – Chapter One There's so much going on, it's easy to miss the details, which is probably why it took off Netflix.
We may never see the entire saga

At least now that it's streaming, you can pause and take a bathroom break. And if enough people stream it, we might one day get to see the rest of the saga.
