Jennifer See, founder of an activewear company that advocates for women's sports, responded to a recent critical article from a liberal media outlet by pointing out that the word “transphobia” means “nothing” to her.

Amidst the controversy surrounding the participation of biological males in women's sports, San Francisco Chronicle columnist and culture critic Soleil Ho wrote an opinion piece lamenting the rise of so-called “transgender sportswear.” The article was titled “Is This the Next MAGA Hat? Transphobic Clothing Is the New Trend,” and cited T-shirts reading “Save Girls' Sports” and “It's Common Sense. XX ≠ XY.”

It was Sy, a former USA gymnastics champion and advocate for women's athletes, who founded XX-XY Athletics. Criticism in the article For owning “a company whose sole purpose is to spread anti-trans sportswear and fund right-wing influencers.”

Sey originally responded to Ho's article by writing a post she said Fox News Digital About her work with XX-XY Athletics, she described it as “the only brand standing up for the protection of women's sports and spaces.”

How transgenderism in sports changed the 2024 election and ignited a national counterculture

“I was inspired to start XX-XY Athletics because I looked around at all the athletic brands out there that claim to champion female athletes and ignored this issue that is right in front of us, which is more and more males entering women's sports.” C said. “Not only do I ignore it, but I would argue, in many cases, that I am on the wrong side of the issue.”

She also cited how, as a longtime San Francisco resident, she emerged as a leading critic of the region's local politics starting in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, sparking controversy that did not endear her to the local liberal media.

“The San Francisco Chronicle likes to troll me a little bit. They don't like me to be too critical of the city and its institutions and its governance,” she recalled. “However, I'll take it that, you know, if XX-XY athletics is the 'new hotness', then it seems pretty popular to me.”

Fox News Digital has reached out to Ho for comment.

She went on to speak The last article Criticize her directly.

“The article overall is… I have no other word to describe it other than ‘stupid’ and ‘full of lies,’” she said. “The author asserts that large numbers of studies show that gender is a spectrum. This is not true. There are no studies. She does not cite any studies. She does not link any studies. There is no evidence that gender is a spectrum. And gender is a spectrum. I don't know How can a newspaper not check the facts, I know it's an editorial, but you know, basic facts shouldn't be violated, I think, in an actual newspaper.

However, she said she would gladly accept publicity to promote her business, “and the truth is that it's good for the truth.”

Sey also took issue with the writer's ideology specifically.

“It's an ideological perspective, it's an activity, it's not a biological reality,” Sy said, scoffing at the idea that “a person is what they say they are.”

“That's not true,” C replied. “There is such a thing as biological reality.”

I enjoyed comparing them to the distinctive red “MAGA hats” of Trump supporters.

“Well, MAGA hats are very popular,” she said. “I think people wear them to make a statement about their values and their stance on the political issues of the day. You know, I think XX-XY athletics is an affirmation of just the basic truth, the biological truth, and I think it's become the uniform of common sense and more and more people don't care about being called They get called “transphobic” for wearing the T-shirt or “bigot” for wearing the T-shirt, because they know that this name-calling is the purview of those who have no claim.”

Its roots in advocating for the conquest of women's spaces run deep.

“I was the first former gymnast to speak out about the abuse in this sport, the emotional, physical and sexual abuse in this sport,” she recalled. “So I care deeply about protecting female athletes, and I think that's an important issue in that same category. Female athletes deserve to train safely, they deserve privacy, they deserve justice, and I can't believe that anyone who calls themselves a 'feminist' or 'feminist' is not going to see The issue here is not based on biological reality, and I will not lie further.
