Thousands of people in Los Angeles' affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood were forced to evacuate after strong winds sparked a massive wildfire.
The inferno flattened homes as it raged — exploding from 10 acres to more than 2,900 acres in mere hours.
At the scene, CBS correspondent Jonathan Vigliotti said firefighters were no longer “trying to save” homes in the Palisades area. “They are trying to prevent this fire from moving to other neighborhoods.”
