One of Meghan MarkleFriends of the Duchess of Sussex provide a glimpse into the Duchess of Sussex's life as a mother who precedes her New Netflix show.
“I had the pleasure of meeting Megan while dining, and let me tell you, she and her famous husband are two of the most down-to-earth people I've ever met,” Chef Adrian Lipscomb Trans books Instagram On Monday, January 6th. “We talked about our families (mostly our daughters being in the princess phase and movies they like) and of course food.”
Markle and Prince Harry Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, participated. It's not clear whether the royal couple's children will appear in the Duchess of Sussex's upcoming Netflix show titled With love, Megan.
Recalling her conversations with Markle, Lipscomb remembered Markle as a mother who was generous and thoughtful.
“She didn't rush the conversation, even though I was taking her time,” she said. “(Markle) was generous, committed and kind.”
Lipscomb felt compelled to speak out after seeing a negative article about Markle's upcoming TV show based on a sneak preview.
On January 2, Netflix was released First trailer to With love, Megan. The nearly two-minute clip offered a look into Markle's life in California, including a sweet moment with her husband.
According to Netflix's official tagline, the show “reimagines the lifestyle programming genre” with Markle at the helm, “mixing practical how-tos with candid conversations with friends.”
After being highlighted in an article that said: “I'm actually bored with Meghan Markle's new Netflix series,” Lipscomb said she decided to speak out.
“How can you criticize someone or judge a TV show before it airs?” She said. “And let's talk about the bigger picture here — where are the shows and roles led by Black women in the food world? Representation is already so scarce, and now, a show that has the potential to highlight food, culture, and storytelling is being torn apart before it even has the chance. This isn't just about By Meghan Markle “It's about a systemic issue in media and entertainment that continues to ignore or belittle the efforts that women, especially women of color, make to create something meaningful.”
