The NFL issued a statement promising “comprehensive security plans” for Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans in the wake of the terrorist attack in the city on Wednesday.

Authorities said 15 people died and at least 35 others were injured after a man plowed into a large crowd of people in the early hours of New Year's Day.
