Tim Bradley wants former two-division world champion Devin Haney to return to Mexico, where he began his professional career in 2015. Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) fought 10 times against low-level opposition in Tijuana, Mexico, before coming to the U.S.

Haney lost to Ryan Garcia by 12 rounds on April 20, and appeared weak in the chin area. His strength was weak as well. Unfortunately, those things won't change when Devin, 26, returns to Mexico to fight second- and third-tier opponents.

Humble pie in Tijuana?

Bradley fails to notice that Haney wants big money for his fights now that he and his father, Bill, feel they have arrived. They want to gain more from fighting in the United States against top-tier opposition. And they won't want to take a big pay cut because of the fighting in Mexico. I don't see that as realistic.

Once fighters start making millions from their fights, they don't want to go back to making a simple change, like they did when they started their career. Moreover, they are striking hard in Mexico as well, and these fighters will target them Hani's glass chin From the jump, looking to capitalize on Ryan Garcia's revelations.

“Devin Haney, you want to come back? Get back to your roots, bro,” Tim Bradley said. Xgiving some pearls of wisdom to the recently battered Devin Haney. “Go back to where you started. Where did you start? I started in Mexico. Go back and get one of those guys out of there, man.”

“Get back out there and start there. Get some of that humble pie. Back to where you started. If you're back to where you started, I'm telling you. You're coming to get back to the top,” Bradley said.

Haney's chin is not strong enough to take big shots from fighters in this sport. Going back to Mexico won't magically solve this problem. One can only imagine what a Mexican footballer like Oscar Duarte would do to Devin if given the opportunity to fight him.

If it were easy for fighters to fix their careers by fighting in Mexico, everyone would do it. This is not how it works. The only thing Haney will accomplish with his return to Tijuana, Mexico is padding his resume the way he did before.
