Investing.com – Shares in Taiwan rose after the close on Thursday, as gains in Taiwan stocks led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the index rose by 0.43%.
The best performers of the session were Jin Feng New Energy Company Limited (TW:) shares rose by 70.12%, or 11.92 points, and reached 28.92 at closing. On the other hand, Epileds Technologies Inc (TW:) shares continued to rise by 10.00%, or 3.35 points, to close at 36.85, while Microtek International Inc (TW:) rose 10.00%, or 1.45 points, to 15.95 at the end of the session.
As for the weakest performer at the end of today's trading, Shin Tai Industry Co Ltd (TW:) shares closed down 6.19%, or 5.10 points, and traded at 77.30 levels at the close. Arima Communications Corp (TW:) shares declined by 4.23%, or 0.80 points, to a price of 18.10, while Kuangli Photoelectric Technology Co Ltd (TW:) shares declined by 3.44%, or 0.50 points, to 14.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil futures for February delivery rose 0.11%, or 0.08, to close at $70.18 per barrel. As for trading in other commodities, the price of Brent crude contracts for March delivery rose 0.08%, or 0.06, and reached a price of $73.23 per barrel, while gold futures contracts for February rose 0.19%, or 4.94, and closed at $2,640.44 per ounce.
USD/THB rose 0.20% to 32.74, while TWD/CNY rose 0.18% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Futures Index fell 0.08% to 107.94.
