Investing.com – Greek stocks rose after the close on Wednesday, as losses in sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the index fell by 0.25%.

Among the leading stocks today was Premia (AT:), whose value rose 6.68%, or 0.08 points, to reach 1.27 at the close. Meanwhile, More (AT:) continued to rise by 4.00% or 0.07 points and closed at 1.82 and Lavipharm S. (AT:) rose by 2.71%, or 0.02 points, to a price of 0.76 at the end of the session.

As for the weakest performance at the end of today's trading, Crete Plastics SA (AT:) stock closed down 4.76%, or 0.70 points, and traded at 14.00 levels at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:) fell by 3.19% or 0.25 points to close at 7.59. Kri kri milk (AT:) fell by 2.61% or 0.40 points at 14.95.

Declining stocks outnumbered gaining stocks on the Athens Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Premia AE (AT:) hit new 52-week highs; It rose by 6.68% or 0.08 to 1.27.

Gold futures for February delivery settled at 0.00% or 0.00 and closed at $2,633.50 per ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, the price of crude oil contracts for February delivery fell 0.09%, or 0.06, to reach a price of $70.10 per barrel, while the Brent oil contract for March rose 1.24%, or 0.90, to close at $73.22 per barrel.

The EUR/USD pair was unchanged by 0.15% to reach 1.04, while the EUR/GBP pair was unchanged by 0.16% to reach 0.83.

US dollar index futures rose 0.18% to 108.00.
