Investing.com – Norwegian stocks rose after the close on Wednesday, as sector gains led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the index rose by 0.58%.
The best performers of the session were drilling drilling Ltd (OL:), which rose 6.62% or 2.62 points and reached 42.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Hoag Autoliners ASA (OL:) continued to rise by 4.45% or 4.70 points and closed at 110.40. HAVNIA LIMITED (OL:) continued to rise by 2.26% or 1.30 points at 58.90 at the end of the session.
As for the weakest performance at the end of today’s trading, Nel ASA (OL:) stock closed down 6.25%, or 0.19 points, and traded at 2.85 levels at the close. Tomra Systems ASA (OL:) shares declined by 1.79%, or 2.70 points, to a price of 148.10, while Mowi ASA (OL:) shares declined by 0.51%, or 1.00 points, to a price of 194.45.
Declining stocks outnumbered gaining stocks on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Nel ASA (OL:) shares fall to 5-year lows; Loss of 6.25% or 0.19 to 2.85.
Crude oil futures for February delivery fell 0.09%, or 0.06, to close at $70.10 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for March delivery rose 1.24%, or 0.90, to $73.22 per barrel, while the February gold contract was unchanged, 0.00%, or 0.00, at $2,633.50 per ounce.
EUR/NOK rose 0.72% to 11.85, while USD/NOK rose 0.57% to 11.38.
US dollar index futures rose 0.18% to 108.00.
