Carlos Corberan has left his position at West Bromwich to take over as the new coach of Valencia.
The LaLiga club has confirmed the news that it has fulfilled the release clause in Corberan's contract.
“Carlos Corberan has become the new coach of Valencia until 2027,” Valencia said in a statement on Tuesday.
“The club has informed West Bromwich Albion of exercising the exit option stipulated in his contract to leave the English club.”
In a post on social media, Corberan, a former Valencia youth team player, said that leaving West Bromwich was the “most difficult” decision of his life.
“I cannot explain how I feel about West Bromwich Albion, their fans and everyone associated with the club,” Corberan wrote.
“In more than two years here, I have felt nothing but love from this community and the decision to leave was the hardest of my life.
“There will always be a place in my heart for this special club and I hope one day I can return to thank you all for your amazing support.”
Former Huddersfield boss Corberan, who worked under Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds, takes over at The Hawthorns in October 2022, replacing Steve Bruce following his sacking two weeks ago.

The Championship club confirmed that Chris Brandt, Damia Abela and Boaz Myhill will oversee first-team duties until further notice.
West Brom chairman Shilin Patel paid tribute to Cobrane upon his departure.
“I want to thank Carlos for all his hard work since arriving at Albion in one of the most difficult times in the club's modern era,” Patel wrote on social media.
“I am grateful for his contributions and wish Carlos and his family all the best in his new journey!”
Valencia occupies the penultimate place in the Spanish League, having won only two league matches, which led to the dismissal of former Spanish international player Ruben Baraja.
