Another year is almost over, and what a year it has been.
We saw England fail again, Liverpool live up to Jurgen Klopp's level, and Manchester City maintain their dominance before suffering a notable fall from grace and further turmoil and frustration at Manchester United.
What will 2025 bring? Here we give you our forecasts (in some cases) for the next 12 months.
1. Liverpool will not lose until the end of the Premier League season
Arne Slott has been a revelation after succeeding Klopp at Anfield, bringing calm to chaos and getting the best out of a Liverpool side that looks head and shoulders above everyone else.
The Merseyside side have lost just once this season in the league – a shock setback at home to Nottingham Forest in September – and that will be the only mark on the loss column in May.
Liverpool still have to go to Manchester City, Aston Villa and Chelsea but that won't worry them.
Slot's men will have the title come April.
2. Guardiola leaves Manchester City at the end of the season
He may have recently signed a new contract tying him to the club until June 2027, but Guardiola will resign in May after City failed to secure a place in the Champions League.
The Catalan has shown clear signs of tension in recent weeks and will make the choice to leave after a trophy-laden spell at the Etihad.
However, Barcelona's influence will be maintained, as Xavi is named as his successor.
3. English clubs will win all three European Championships
After missing out on the Premier League title once again, Arsenal will turn their attention to conquering Europe. Mikel Arteta's side will win the Champions League after defeating Real Madrid in the final.
Tottenham will complete the north London double by winning the Europa League with Ange Postecoglou vindicating his commitment to his principles and maintaining his all-round attacking style.
And Chelsea will win the Conference League as they should given the investment in their team and the fact that the competition is, quite frankly, rubbish!
4. Xabi Alonso takes over as coach of Real Madrid
Real Madrid will say an emotional farewell to Carlo Ancelotti after finishing third in La Liga behind Barcelona and winners Atletico Madrid and failing to retain the Champions League title.
Alonso will take over from the former Real Madrid midfielder following his successful spell at Bayer Leverkusen.
His first act will be to confirm the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool on a free transfer.
5. Declan Rice appointed England captain
Harry Kane's influence on the team will diminish as he continues to underperform for his country, losing his starting place in the process.
New coach Thomas Tuchel will put his mark on the Three Lions by appointing Rice as his permanent captain.
Arsenal's Rice is impressing on and off the field as England win every game in 2025 after being given a relatively straightforward qualifying group for the 2026 World Cup.
