Pakistan National Cricket Team batsman Fakhar Zaman has selected the two best batsmen and bowlers in world cricket. What caught the attention of many is that India National Cricket Team's Virat Kohli did not feature among their best players, while Jasprit Bumrah made it to their list.
Fakhar Zaman's statements came in the video that Basit Ali posted on his YouTube channel. The host asked the Pakistan national cricket team to rank four batsmen from 1 to 4 according to their impact on world cricket.
But Fakhar did not agree with Basit Ali. He stated that he would not rank 4 hitters but would instead take the top 2 spots. The reason behind this is that he is playing it safe these days. Basit then told him that “Pathans fear no one,” and mentioned that they were ancient Pathans.
“I will say 1 and 2, not 3 and 4. Basit bhai, I'm playing very safe these days. Those were the old Pathans, Basit bhai,” he said.
Fakhar Zaman was issued a notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board and dropped from the squad
The reason why Fakhar says he is playing it safe these days is because the batsman was recently served notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board after he tweeted to Babar Azam when the batsman was dropped from the Test team during the England series.
Since that tweet, nothing has gone Fakhar's way. In that tweet, he criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board for dropping Babar Azam, saying that the omission of key players from the team sent the wrong message and that the batsman should have had the support of the management.

After that, not only was Fekhar issued notice, but he was also dropped from the team and not given a central contract. The batsman has since been struggling to make his way back into the team and has not played in Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Although Fakhar Zaman plays regularly in the local circuit, there are no signs of his return. Recently, captain Mohamed Rizwan and the team management stated that the batsman is unfit and will return to the team once he fully recovers.
Fakhar Zaman chooses Joe Root and Babar Azam as his best batsmen
Basit Ali then asked Fakhar Zaman to rank Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, Joe Root and Kane Williamson from 1-4. The batsman stuck to his word and received a rating of just two when he picked the England national cricket team and his teammate Babar.
He was also asked to evaluate among four bowlers Shaheen Afridi, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Naseem Shah. He picked the best bowlers, naming the left-arm pacer and the Indian fast bowler. He said:
“I will say only 1 and 2. Joe Root and Babar Azam. And in bowling, the best two. Shaheen and Bamrah.”
