Barnes sprained his right ankle with 6:47 left in the third quarter and did not return to the game. The injury occurred when Barnes attempted to block a shot from Karl-Anthony Towns and it landed on the foot of the Knicks center. The Raptors star was in obvious pain after rolling his ankle. He finished the game with 15 points, five rebounds and three assists in 22:50 minutes.

“Toronto Raptors star Scottie Barnes is expected to miss several weeks due to a right ankle injury he suffered on Monday,” sources told ESPN. Barnes is averaging career highs of 20.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists this season.
This will be the second extended absence of the season for Barnes after he previously missed 11 straight games between October 30 and November 18 with a fractured orbital. He is the team's leader and Toronto has struggled to win without him. The Raptors went 2-9 during his previous absence. They are currently 14th in the East with a 7-18 record.
Aside from Barnes, Toronto will also be without her Bruce Brown (knee) and Immanuel Quickley (Left elbow) on Thursday.
