Five people were injured and one person was found dead after a boat explosion at Lauderdale Marina, officials said.
This happened at around 6pm on December 23. Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue (FLFR) received several 911 calls about an explosion and a vessel on fire.
Crews found a large fire in one boat before it quickly spread to another.
FLFR said five people were taken to hospitals, three of them suffering from “traumatic injuries.”

FLFR cites patient privacy concerns for not identifying anyone involved. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is the lead investigating agency looking into the cause of the explosion, the department said Subsequent fires.
