the Texas Longhorns The beloved mascot Bevo XV will not make the trip to the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in the next round of the College Football Playoff as the team plays Arizona State.

Peach Bowl organizers made the announcement Monday.
“We love all of the great traditions of college football and there is no doubt that Bevo is one of the best teams, but the unfortunate reality is that there simply is not enough room on the sidelines for Mercedes-Benz Stadium,” their statement read.
“With stadium restrictions and prioritizing the safety of Bevo, players, all network cameras, support staff, fans and photographers, unfortunately we will not be able to have Bevo on the court for the CFP Quarterfinals in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.”

The Peach Bowl is scheduled to be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. It was a site SEC Championship Between Texas and Georgia. Bevo was banned from the event as well.
Bevo had a small altercation with Georgia's mascot Uga in the past. The amulet was broken Through a barrier in the Sugar Bowl that year and nearly trampled the dog and spectators at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
