Liverpool is at the top of the English Premier League, and is ready to strengthen its team in the January transfer window.
After beating Tottenham 6-3 at the weekend, they once again showed why they are favorites to win the league this season.
Their form under Arne Slott has been outstanding and the level of consistency they are currently showing this season is something fans did not see even under previous manager Jurgen Klopp.
However, additions are needed in the winter transfer window if they are to remain favorites to win the league.
A position the Dutch coach can look to strengthen is left-back, which Andy Robertson has struggled to perform this season.
Given Robertson's poor form and Kostas Tsimikas' fitness issues, the Premier League leaders could jump into the market for a new left-back.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has claimed that when it comes to Liverpool's transfer targets for the upcoming transfer window, Fulham defender Anthony Robinson tops the Reds' list.
Jamie Carragher reveals what Liverpool wants in January
While discussing Robinson's recent performance against Liverpool at Anfield in the 2-2 draw, Carragher said Sky Sports:
It was great. He was the best player on the field. When you go to Anfield and play against Mohamed Salah – probably the best player in the Premier League this season – and come away with a Man of the Match award, it shows you how highly he is held in high esteem. Yes, I think Liverpool will probably be looking for a left-back in January and I'm sure he will be at the top of the list.
Liverpool have not given up on exciting midfield transitions
The US international has shown this season that he can be as comfortable in attack as he usually is in defence.
He will be the perfect addition for Liverpool and will give their defense the quality and depth they need.
Signing him in January may not be easy for the Reds as Fulham want one of their best players to remain at the club. However, the chance of winning the league title could turn the player's mind and he could be forced to move to Anfield if Liverpool go ahead with their interest.
Another left back object Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies is linked with a move to Liverpool.
