the Summer house The star recently gave birth to her first child, daughter Gemma, on December 8 Interview published by People On Saturday, December 21, the 38-year-old reality star opened up about her living situation as a new mother.
Although she and her boyfriend don't live together, “he has stayed up all night and been by my side 24/7 for the past month,” she says.
Her boyfriend, whose identity she keeps secret, is also the father of her new baby.
“Even though this is technically my apartment, this is our main residence for our daughter and I,” she explained. “He brought a bunch of clothes and toiletries with me, and he moved between my flat and his, but he rarely left Gemma and me.”
Hubbard explained her reasons for not wanting to move in with her partner right away.
“If there's anything I've learned from the past, especially in my last relationship, it's that nothing is guaranteed,” she said. “And when you get pregnant that quickly dating, I didn't want to put any more pressure on our relationship than a pregnancy and a baby already puts — too much pressure for life.”
Although she didn't want to be pressured, Hubbard also said moving in with her boyfriend was “under discussion.”
“My contract ends in June,” she said. “We talk about school districts a lot and make those decisions based on where we might want to send Gemma to school.”
The owner of Hubb House Nashville said she feels “relaxed” and “a little sleep deprived” since welcoming her daughter into the world.
“My heart is so full,” she said. “You always hear new parents say, 'I never knew love like this existed,' and then it happens to you and you say, 'I totally get it now.'”
in Exclusive interview with Us Weekly In October, Hubbard spoke passionately about her boyfriend, calling him “the best support system, the best partner” in the final months of her pregnancy.
“He comes to every appointment, whether it's an obstetrics check-up or an ultrasound,” she told us at the time. “He talks to (the child) every night. He'll put on my compression socks before flights, and tie my shoes. He's so cute. It's really great support.”
Now, while speaking with People in December, the Bravo star opened up about her upcoming vacation plans, and explained why she chose the low-key celebration.
“At Christmas, we don't really do anything because we can't. She's too fresh and new to be exposed to a lot of people right now; we can't travel until she gets her vaccines, which is in two months,” she said. So we will have a very quiet Christmas at home.”
