Philadelphia Eagles Defensive back C.J. Gardner Johnson had one last parting gift for Washington Commanders fans at Northwest Stadium on Sunday: two middle fingers.
Gardner-Johnson received a second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the second half and was ejected from the game. He seemed to enter Quarrel with the leaders Wide receiver Dyami Brown was shoved into the helmet. Gardner Johnson still receives punishment.

He responded to the incident on X.
“Respectfully, I was fired for nothing, I play with passion and fire!! The guys have been tweeting all day what you would expect!!” books.
The safety had three interceptions, a forced fumble and 57 total tackles for the Eagles this season in the game against the Chiefs.
He added another interception to his tally against Washington.

Losing Gardner Johnson was probably as detrimental to the Eagles' defense as losing Jalen Hurts was on offense. Philadelphia took a 10-point lead when Gardner-Johnson was sacked and scored three more points when they got the ball back after a fumble.
Jayden Daniels threw three of his five passes in the fourth quarter. The Leaders scored 22 points in the final frame and were stunned Eagles, 36-33.
“We didn't do enough,” Eagles running back Saquon Barkley said. “We left a lot of plays out there, including me.”
