Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was set on fire and burned to death on a subway train Brooklyn, New York On Sunday in a horrific and disturbing crime.
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) said the incident occurred at the Stillwell Avenue subway station in Coney Island at approximately 7:30 a.m.
Police said the woman was sleeping on board the stopped “F” train.
That's when police say an unknown man approached the woman and It was set on fire Before leaving the metro car.
EMS pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
A horrific video posted online shows a woman standing on the train engulfed in flames. A man matching the description of the suspect was seen sitting on a seat just outside the train and watching the woman burn.
The police are searching For a man described as being 5'6 tall, 150 pounds and approximately 25 to 30 years old.

Police said the suspect was last seen wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans, a dark hat with a red stripe and brown shoes.
NYPD Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information regarding the incident.
